MSCT's Medical Assistant program includes 225 hours of internship training in a supervised medical facility, which is designed to help meet the requirements for testing as a Nationally Certified Medical Assistant. Upon completing the program, graduates who wish to pursue national certification may take the optional National Certification Examination (NCCT) to become a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA).
Certification is not required for entry-level employment in New York State, but it can strengthen your candidacy with employers. MSCT is also an approved testing center for the Regional MedCA examination.

This format is designed to give students scheduling flexibility without sacrificing the practical training employers expect. Morning and evening class schedules are available.
