Becoming a medical biller in New York typically starts with completing a recognized training program that covers billing, coding, and administrative procedures. At MSCT in Brooklyn, the Medical Billing & Administrative Specialist program includes 225 hours of internship training in a supervised medical facility, helping students meet requirements for testing as a Nationally Certified Medical Administrative Assistant.
Upon completing the program, graduates are prepared to pursue roles such as Medical Biller, Patient Insurance Clerk, and Medical Records Clerk.
Start Your Application TodayTo enroll at MSCT, applicants must provide a valid photo ID, proof of citizenship or immigration status, a Social Security Card, a high school diploma or GED, and a $50 registration fee (cash or money order). Proof of income is also required for those applying for financial aid. MSCT also provides reasonable accommodations for students with disabilities on a case-by-case basis under the ADA.
